Manchester City to Bid for Aguero
Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero is close to signing for Manchester City after the two clubs have agreed a transfer fee (thought to be around £40m). There is real will from both the player and the two clubs to push this deal through even though that Argentinian team mate and club captain, Carlos Tevez has yet to be sold.
Aguero is seen to be a direct replacement for Tevez who has angered both senior managament and team boss Roberto Mancini with his lack of respect towards the club considering he is the highest paid player and club captain.
City are determined to bring in new faces this transfer window to challenge for major honours. A good run in the Champions League and a serious title push could see a new power house in English football taking on the traditional top four of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. With only four Champions League slots up for grabs there is bound to be more frantic transfer activity before the window shuts.
Do you think Sergio Aguero would be a good signing for Man City? – reports in Spain suggest he blows hot and cold but there is clearly real talent in the Argentinian striker who, ironically has kept Tevez out of the starting XI of the national team.

Aguero is over rated, he had a poor Copa America and they should have started with Tevez from the start. If I was a City fan I would be worried that he would be another 1 season wonder and then want a transfer back to Spain.
